Meycauayan College (MC) hosted this year’s annual Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) provincial accounting quiz bowl spearheaded by the officers of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants ( JPIA) and PICPA Bulacan last July 18, 2019, at the Dr. Locsin Multi-purpose hall.

Accounting wizards from different schools in Bulacan gathered to compete for their schools in the said accounting quiz bowl. In the end, Rica Sofia H. Sandil, a contender from Dr. Yanga College Institute (DYCI), amassed the highest number of points and was hailed the champion.

The election of the new set of officers of the Bulacan Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (BFJPIA) and the PICPA Got Talent were also held during the event. Veronica Joy Damian from Baliuag University (BU) was elected as the new BFJPIA president, while in the PICPA Got Talent, Karlene Mae Morante, a first-year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA), student of MC, out-sang the other contestants with her rendition of Les Miserables’ ‘On my own’.
